History
- 1950
- Apple trader ”Yamahachi-Kudo store” was founded at Ishikawa-machi, Aomori (Current Hirosaki city).
- Jan.1989
- Yamahachi-Kudo store was incorporated as Yamahachi Apple Co.,Ltd. Yukihisa Kudo, the current CEO, assumed the presidency.
- 2002
- Started export business to Taiwan.
- 2003
- New head office building was built in Kawai, Hirosaki. (Area: approx. 8,000 square meters). Equipments such as sugar concentration sensor and color sensor were installed.
- 2010
- Started internet sales to domestic consumers.
- 2012
- Adopted 1-MCP technology as a trial.
- 2014
- Registered trademark in Japan.
- 2015
- Filing application for trademark registration in China and Taiwan.
- 2015
- New free tray type sorting/grading system (Barcode type) was installed.

It has been more than ten years since Yamahachi Apple joined apple export just after WTO lifted the ban on exporting Japanese apple to Taiwan market. From now on, we have an idea to expand our sales channels to new countries in addition to South East Asia.
